A gift with sparkling ribbons

I had a dream,

As I tried to run after these men, I got lost in the maze. I continued walking until I got into an opened area where some young men and women were walking and picking up small gifts on the ground. They appeared so happy. Curious, I looked around me and saw a little gift with sparkling ribbons. I sat on the ground and placed the present on my legs to open it, but I let out a small groaning. The ribbons had made small incisions on my hands and blood was coming. Although surprised by the state of my hands they appeared to be of lesser importance in comparison to the joy of opening this gift. I continued removing the ribbons ignoring the pricking sensations on my legs, arms and face. In the box was a mirror. I took it and gasp when seeing my reflection. I had several incisions all over my body then words appeared on the mirror which read:

“[…] These little gifts on the way, you don’t even know why they’re here or where they’re coming from, but you still take them because they’re making you feel a little bit better. They knew it. Only needed beautiful ribbons to keep you amazed […].”

I looked at the people walking around who appeared to be so happy with their gifts in hands and I couldn’t understand why the effects were so different.

Reflection:

  • Have you experienced similar events where you wanted to try something others were doing but it had negative effects on you?

  • As a Christian, what is or has been your experience with K-pop or the music industry in general?
