October 2017. Sunday. 9:00 am.
“God, let us talk. This Kitania-Go-Round has gone for too long. I am going to go through each one of their music videos. If they are really not good, then show me. Thank you. In Jesus’ name. Amen”
I pushed all my textbook aside so that only three things remained on my desk: notebook, pen, and laptop. The goal was to watch as many music videos as possible in the following ways: Normal speed, normal speed with the lyrics, Speed 0.25 without lyrics, Speed 0.25 with lyrics; And write down any symbols I could recognise that could be linked to the occult (freemasonry, Satanism, Illuminati, MK-Ultra)
I started at 10 am. Two hours break to eat and for family bible study. Dropped my pen around 9:00 pm.
Once again, the next thing I remember doing is lying down in foetal position and cry lol.
The only MV I had seen with occult symbolism was Blood, Sweat and Tears...
Most of the symbols (like 90 percent) were hidden. They could only be seen when slowing down the videos or combining the lyrics with a specific frame or linking the lyrics to what had been said on shows or in other music videos.
I was so confused. Why so much care to hide them?
In the western music industry, the symbols and lyrics are so blatant and straight to the point that there is no misunderstanding as to who the “divinity” being acknowledged and worshipped is.
KPOP is perfectionism itself...
Remembering the lyrics and the dance move of your fellow team members are not enough...These occult symbols have to be flashed at the right millisecond as well....
I don’t even want to imagine what goes on during dance practice...
Choreographer: “Guys, members X and Y made a mistake. The pyramid needs to be flashed at dan dan PAM. Not at PAM dan dan. You get it? One more time. Another mistake and you go and see Mister B. and the rest can have the chicken bones with water for dinner. Let’s go”
Bruh
Anyways.
I had the mock-ups ready for the videos (#MyKPopExp, #BTS2017, and #BTSSignsOfTheTimes) but I didn’t know what editing a video really meant.
Do you use a software? And which one? Windows Movie Maker?
I was in a big mess. Why did I ask God for a sign...
Then, I remembered something.
When I would type in the computer’s menu something related to design, a green logo would appear. So, I typed design and fair enough a program called Cyberlink appeared.
*Click*
File format.
“Uh?”
Tracks, Storyboard, Lighting Adjustment, Rendering Technology, Produce, etc.
“What’s that?”
Overwhelmed by these new terms, I closed the software.
Interestingly, to this day, I do not remember downloading this software. It was just there when I needed it.
Next, I just needed the patience and the determination to learn something new.
